Les ringards

Les ringards is a French film from 1978. Robert Pouret both directed it and wrote the screenplay. Shot in French, it is classed both as a crime film and as a dramatic comedy, which fits its blend of the crime-film template with comedy and drama. It is a colour feature of about 95 minutes.

The leads are Mireille Darc as Annie Garmiche, Julien Guiomar as Jeannot Bidart, Charles Gérard as Charlot and Georges Wilson as Commissaire Garmiche. The wider cast includes Aldo Maccione, André Penvern, Bernard Darniche, Alfred Pasquali, Geneviève Fontanel, Georges Descrières, Gérard Hernandez, Ibrahim Seck, Katia Tchenko and Marthe Villalonga.

The word ringards in the title is French slang for people regarded as dated or second-rate. The writing and the direction are credited to Pouret alone.
