Nathalie... is a 2003 French-Spanish drama directed by Anne Fontaine, starring Fanny Ardant, Emmanuelle Béart and Gérard Depardieu. Bernard, a respected gynecologist, appears to share a contented life with his wife Catherine, but she suspects he may be unfaithful. Rather than confront him, Catherine devises an unusual test: she hires Marlène, an attractive young woman working in a nightclub, to seduce her husband. Adopting the name Nathalie, Marlène reports every detail of her encounters with Bernard back to Catherine. What begins as a calculated arrangement gradually evolves into a strange and ambiguous bond between the two women. Exploring marriage, infidelity and desire through an unconventional love triangle, the film was later remade by Atom Egoyan as Chloé in 2009.
