Rauf

Rauf is a 2016 Turkish drama film co-directed by Soner Caner and Barış Kaya, marking the feature debut of both filmmakers. Written by Caner, the 94-minute film had its world premiere on 13 March 2016 at the 20th Sofia International Film Festival, where it screened in the international competition as part of the "Focus Turkey" program.

Set in a village in Kars under the shadow of an invisible, endless war, the film follows nine-year-old Rauf, who sets out on a journey to find the color pink—the color of his imagined love—to make Zana smile, the twenty-year-old daughter of the carpenter for whom he apprentices. His search ultimately teaches him about black and white in a grey world. Starring Alen Hüseyin Gürsoy in the title role, the film was shot in the village of Küçükyusuf in Kars over roughly one year.
