The Born Loser

The Born Loser (original Persian title Pākbākhteh) is an Iranian comedy film directed by Gholamhossein Lotfi. Mohammad-Hossein Farah-Bakhsh both wrote the screenplay and produced the picture. Shot in Persian with a running time of about 95 minutes, it dates from 1995-1996, corresponding to the year 1374 in the Iranian calendar.

According to Persian-language sources, the film is a remake drawing on two earlier Iranian pictures, "Shadiha-ye Zendegi-e Ma" and "Dozd va Pasban".

The cast features the veteran Iranian actress Hamideh Kheirabadi alongside performers such as Akbar Abdi, Alireza Khamsehnia, Parand Zahedi, Zohreh Safavi and Akbar Dudkar.
