The Cellar

The Cellar (original Russian title Подвал) is a 2018 drama film directed by Igor Voloshin. A co-production between the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Russia, the Russian-language feature runs about 108 minutes. It was produced by Lívia Filusová, with music composed by Michal Rataj.

The film had its world premiere in the World Cinema section of the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea. It subsequently opened in Slovakia on 27 September 2018, in Russia on 1 November, and in the Czech Republic on 15 November.

The ensemble is led by French actor Jean-Marc Barr alongside Czech and Slovak performers including Milan Ondrík, Jana Oľhová, Zuzana Vejvodová, Roman Skamene and Csongor Kassai.
