The Cry of the Mojahed

The Cry of the Mojahed (Faryad-e mojahed) is a 1979 Iranian film directed by Mehdi Madanian, starring Bahman Mofid and Firuz. Made in Persian, the film holds a special place in Iranian cinema history, as it was the first feature film produced after the Iranian Revolution.

Alongside Bahman Mofid and Firuz, the cast also includes Mahbubeh Bayat, Kiumars Malekmotei, Hossein Khanibeik and Sirous Gorjestani. As the very first production of the post-revolutionary period, the film is regarded as a symbol of Iranian cinema entering a new era.
