There's Nothing Wrong with Being Good to Yourself

Directed by Claude Mulot, this 1974 French-Canadian sex comedy follows Charles and Martine Lebrun, a couple from France living in Montreal, whose teenage niece Joëlle comes to stay with them for the summer. When a coworker of Charles reveals that his own teenage daughter is pregnant, Charles decides it is time to give Joëlle a talk about the facts of life. To his surprise, the girl turns out to know far more about sex than he does. The discovery pushes Charles and Martine to liven up their own marriage by venturing into the world of swinging. Jean Lefebvre and Françoise Lemieux lead the cast, with supporting appearances by Michel Galabru, Darry Cowl, Christine Fabréga and others. The picture premiered in Quebec in October 1974, distributed by Ciné-Capitale, and reached French cinemas in April 1975. In France it was released under the title C'est jeune et ça sait tout.
