Thor: Love and Thunder

Thor: Love and Thunder, a 2022 American superhero film and the 29th entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is directed by Taika Waititi, who co-wrote the screenplay with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, and serves as a sequel to Thor: Ragnarok. After the battle with Thanos, Thor leaves his adventurous life behind and sets out on a journey toward inner peace, spending some time travelling through space alongside the Guardians of the Galaxy. His retirement is cut short, however, when a mysterious killer known as Gorr the God Butcher emerges, vowing to wipe out every god in existence. To stop him, Thor teams up with King Valkyrie, his friend Korg, and his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who, while battling cancer, has taken up Mjolnir and gained the powers of the Mighty Thor. Together they embark on a dangerous quest to prevent Gorr from fulfilling his deadly mission. The cast includes Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson and Russell Crowe. Filmed in Australia, the film opened in July 2022 and, despite mixed reviews, grossed over 760 million dollars worldwide.
