Three Quarter Moon
Three Quarter Moon (German original title Dreiviertelmond) is a 2011 German tragicomedy directed by Christian Zübert. Elmar Wepper takes the lead, with Özay Fecht among the cast. The film follows Hartmut, a cantankerous Nuremberg taxi driver who, after his wife leaves him following long years of marriage, finds himself having to look after Hayat, a six-year-old Turkish girl left alone in the city; despite the language barrier the gruff old man gradually softens and finds a new outlook on life. Zübert was awarded the Bavarian Film Prize for the screenplay in 2011.
