X Factor

X Factor is the Turkish adaptation of the international singing competition format The X Factor, which first aired in the United Kingdom on 4 September 2004 and has since been adapted in around 45 countries. The Turkish version, produced by Medyapım, aired on Kanal D, where contestants competed for a grand prize of 2,000,000 TL. The show was hosted first by Kadir Doğulu and later by Bülent Şakrak.

The programme premiered on 10 February 2014 with a judging panel of Ziynet Sali, Ömer Karacan and Armağan Çağlayan; Mustafa Ceceli, originally chosen for the fourth seat, withdrew and was replaced by Emre Aydın. Suspended on 24 March 2014 due to low ratings, the show returned with an entirely new panel of Nihat Odabaşı, Sinan Akçıl, Atiye and Nigar Cemal. It was ultimately pulled off the air after its 12th episode on 19 July 2014, again because of poor ratings.
