Wounded Wolf is a 1972 Turkish film directed by Lütfi Ömer Akad. Adapted from Graham Greene's novel A Gun for Hire, the story was brought to the screen by Selim İleri, while Akad himself wrote the shooting script. Produced by Erman Film, the 82-minute work blends drama, crime and adventure elements.
Starring Cüneyt Arkın, Ahmet Mekin and Şükran Yamakoğlu, the film features Arkın as Ali Karasu, a hired killer. When Ali discovers that the payment for a murder he committed is counterfeit money, he sets out to track down those who deceived him; a young woman he meets along the way helps him and is taken hostage, and Ali loses his life while trying to save her.
