Yasemin (Yasemin (film))

Yasemin is a 1988 German-language romantic drama written and directed by Hark Bohm, starring Ayşe Romey and Uwe Bohm. A co-production between Turkey and West Germany, the multiple award-winning film is regarded as a modern classic of German children's and youth cinema.

Running 89 minutes, it competed at the 38th Berlin International Film Festival and was selected as West Germany's official submission for Best Foreign Language Film at the 61st Academy Awards, though it did not reach the final list of nominees. The supporting cast includes Şener Şen, Nursel Köse, Toto Karaca, Corinna Harfouch and Michael Gwisdek.
