Uğur Erdoğan — Biography

Uğur Erdoğan was born on 1 January 1987 in Istanbul and began his football career in Galatasaray's youth system. A midfielder, he finished as top scorer of the Galatasaray PAF youth team with 19 goals when it won its championship in the 2005-06 season, and signed a professional contract with the club the following season.

He then spent several seasons out on loan, playing for İstanbulspor, Orduspor, and Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor, the last of these managed by Suat Kaya, his former coach from the Galatasaray youth ranks. After returning to Galatasaray at the end of that season he was transferred to Siirtspor, then moved back to Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor after half a season there. In the 2010-11 mid-season transfer window he joined First League side Kartalspor, then Ünyespor after another half season. In the middle of the 2011-12 season he signed an 18-month, match-fee-based deal with Denizlispor.

Over the course of his career he also played for Sarıyer, Körfez and Kartal, as well as Fethiyespor and Yeni Malatyaspor.
