Umut Bulut — Biography
Umut Bulut is a retired Turkish footballer who played as a forward, born on 15 March 1983 in Yeşilhisar, Kayseri Province. Standing 1.84 m tall, he holds the record for most Süper Lig appearances (515) and ranks among the league's all-time top scorers with 163 goals.
Capped 39 times for the Turkey national team between 2007 and 2018, scoring ten goals, Bulut played professionally for clubs including Galatasaray, Trabzonspor and Toulouse in France before ending his career at Sarıyer in the summer of 2024, at the age of 41.
His father, Kemal Bulut, was killed in a bombing in Ankara in March 2016.
