Ünal Demirkıran — Biography

Born on 24 June 1979 in Neu-Ulm, Germany, Ünal Demirkıran is a German-Turkish midfielder and football manager. He turned professional in 1998 with SSV Ulm Amateure and made his Bundesliga debut for SSV Ulm on 25 September 1999, coming on as a substitute for Oliver Unsöld in the 87th minute of a 2-2 away draw against Werder Bremen.

He went on to play for a series of clubs in the lower tiers of German football, including VfR Aalen, SSV Reutlingen, 1. FC Heidenheim and its reserve side, FV Illertissen and its reserves, and TSG Thannhausen, and also had a spell in Turkey with Sivasspor. Later in his career he joined TSV Neu-Ulm, where he has combined playing with serving as the club's manager.
