Ünver Beşergil — Biography
Ünver Beşergil was a Turkish Greco-Roman wrestler, born on 25 March 1938 in Istanbul. Competing in the bantamweight division (57 kg), he represented Turkey at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. He went on to win a bronze medal at the 1966 World Wrestling Championships, adding a gold and a silver medal from the Mediterranean Games to his record.
Standing 1.66 meters tall, Beşergil died in his native Istanbul on 8 August 2016.
