Volkan Çekiç — Biography

Volkan Çekiç is a Turkish footballer born on 7 January 1990 in Ilıca, a town in the Çeşme district of İzmir province. He began his career in Turkey's lower divisions, joining Ankaragücü in 2007 before drawing interest from Konyaspor.

He went on to play for Sakaryaspor in the years that followed, and later featured for Sökespor. Across a career spent mostly in Turkey's regional and lower-tier leagues, Çekiç built a reputation as a steady lower-division player.
