Yeşim Özsoy Gülan — Biography
Yeşim Özsoy Gülan (born February 28, 1972, in Istanbul) is a Turkish actress, playwright and theatre director educated at Robert College, Boğaziçi University and, for her master's degree, Northwestern University.
She is the founding director of "Ve Diğer Şeyler Topluluğu" (VeDST), a company built around new texts, new technologies and interdisciplinary work, and since 2003 has also served as founder and artistic director of GalataPerform, an artist-run contemporary performing arts venue in Galata, continuing to oversee its plays, projects and events from 2013 onward.
She has written, directed and produced ten productions staged in Istanbul, New York and across Europe; her play "House – a Cacophonic Play" was presented at the New Plays from Europe Theatre Biennale, an international festival dedicated to contemporary drama.
