Yusuf Yazıcı — Biography
Yusuf Yazıcı (born 29 January 1997 in Trabzon) is a Turkish international footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Super League Greece club Olympiacos. A product of the Trabzonspor academy, he made his senior debut in December 2015 at age 18 and went on to make more than eighty league appearances for the club.
In 2019 he moved to French side Lille for €17.5 million, the highest transfer fee in Trabzonspor's history, and helped the club win the 2020-21 Ligue 1 title while finishing as the UEFA Europa League's top scorer that same season; he also won a Trophée des Champions with the club. After a loan spell at CSKA Moscow in early 2022, where he scored eight goals in ten league matches, he later joined Olympiacos.
Yazıcı has earned 43 caps for Turkey since his 2017 debut, scoring 3 goals and providing 7 assists, and represented the national team at UEFA Euro 2020 and Euro 2024. In May 2026 he suffered a third career anterior cruciate ligament injury, a serious setback that sidelined him for an extended recovery period.
