Turkish actress Zeynep Alkan was born on May 26, 1998, in Istanbul. The daughter of actor and director Hamdi Alkan, she had her first brief screen appearance as a child in her father's 2010 film Dersimiz: Atatürk, before reaching a wider audience years later as Emoji Emel in the series Hayat Bazen Tatlıdır.

In February 2026, after her name became linked in public reports to an unrelated matter involving another individual, she issued a statement explaining that the confusion stemmed from a coincidental similarity of names and had nothing to do with her.
