Zeynep Tuğçe Bayat — Biography

Zeynep Tuğçe Bayat studied law before turning to acting, and today she works as a Turkish television and theatre actress. Wide audiences know her as Targun Hatun in Kuruluş: Osman and Ceyda Aran in Afili Aşk; in recent years she has appeared in Teşkilat, Baba and Kimler Geldi Kimler Geçti.

Born in Mersin, she graduated from Marmara University's Faculty of Law and then studied in the theatre department of the Anadolu University State Conservatory. As a student she worked as an assistant director and actress in private theatres in Istanbul. Her screen experience began in 2009 with a small part in Arka Sıradakiler; she went on to play Nevra in Gönülçelen, Pelin in Yıldız Masalı, Yeşim in Ah Neriman, Gonca in Çilek Kokusu and Buket in Seviyor Sevmiyor. In film she played Yaprak in Şansımı Seveyim (2017) and Defne in Akvaryum. Later she played Şahika Saruhanlı in Baba and Siyah İnci / Suzen in Teşkilat. She has also appeared in the online series Senkron, Hür and Prens.

On stage she played Miranda in Fırtına and Alice in Closer. She is married to the actor Cansel Elçin, and the couple have a son.
