Aydın Sayman — Biography

Aydın Sayman (born 1 February 1953, Malatya) is a Turkish director, producer and screenwriter.

He graduated from the Business Administration department of Istanbul University's Faculty of Economics in 1978. Between 1971 and 1973 he worked as an assistant editor at the Sinematek, wrote about cinema for various newspapers and magazines such as Milliyet Sanat Dergisi, 7. Sanat, Gösteri and Edebiyat 81, and assisted many directors. He published a magazine called Gerçek Sinema. Between 1976 and 1983 he directed commercials. He also shot documentaries and music videos, and served as a consultant on the film Eve Dönüş.
