Ayta Sözeri — Biography
Ayta Sözeri was born on 31 March 1976 in Nuremberg, West Germany, and moved to İzmir with her family at the age of four. She studied business administration at Ege University and later trained in Turkish classical music with the Dokuz Eylül University Turkish Art Music Choir under conductor Avni Anıl.
Sözeri began her acting career in 2000 with the series Dadı and Hayat Bağları, then went on to appear in popular Turkish television dramas such as Arka Sokaklar, Parmaklıklar Ardında, Akasya Durağı, Yalan Dünya and Paramparça, gaining wide recognition through Kanal D's Ulan İstanbul. On screen, she starred in Mahsun Kırmızıgül's Güneşi Gördüm and Emre Yalgın's Teslimiyet, and continued her film career with Aile Arasında (2017) and Yılbaşı Gecesi (2022).
Alongside acting, she has pursued a singing career rooted in Turkish classical music and is known for her outspoken advocacy for human rights and LGBT rights in Turkey.
