Among Family (Aile Arasında)

Aile Arasında is a Turkish comedy film written by Gülse Birsel and directed by Ozan Açıktan, produced by BKM Film. It was released in Turkey on 1 December 2017.

The story follows Fikret, suddenly left by his wife of 21 years, and Solmaz, a nightclub singer abandoned by her musician boyfriend, who become friends after a chance encounter. When Solmaz's daughter Zeynep receives a marriage proposal from Emirhan, her boyfriend from Adana to whom she has lied about her family, Solmaz asks the neurotic Fikret — a man incapable of lying — to pose as the girl's respectable police chief father. What is meant to be a modest wedding turns into an elaborate affair once the groom's traditional kebab-chain-owning family gets involved. Engin Günaydın and Demet Evgar lead the cast, joined by Erdal Özyağcılar, Devrim Yakut, Fatih Artman, Şevket Çoruh, Derya Karadaş, Su Kutlu and Ayta Sözeri.
