Devin Özgür Çınar — Biography

Devin Özgür Çınar was born on June 21, 1973, in the Devrek district of Zonguldak. After graduating from the Drama Department of Hacettepe University's Ankara State Conservatory in 1996, she gained stage experience with the Bakırköy Municipal Theatre in Can Yücel's play "Bahar Noktası."

She launched her television career in 1998 with the role of Cennet in the series İkinci Bahar, a part that brought her widespread recognition. In the years that followed she took on roles in series such as Dayı, Hayat Türküsü, Köpek, Parmaklıklar Ardında, Türk Malı, Galip Derviş and Sevdaluk, and played Hülya in Kalbimdeki Deniz in 2016. She currently appears as Ezgi in the GAİN series 10 Bin Adım, which reached its third season in 2026.

On screen, she has appeared in films including Dar Alanda Kısa Paslaşmalar and Abuzer Kadayıf (2000), Hiçbir Yerde (2001), Gönül Yarası (2005) and Geriye Kalan (2012), as well as Robinson Crusoe & Cuma and Guruldayan Kalpler in 2015 and Aile Arasında in 2017. Beyond acting, Çınar has spoken publicly about her views on family, arguing that biological ties should not be the only definition of family.
