Belgin Şimşek — Biography

Belgin Şimşek is a Turkish actress born on 10 December 1996 in Istanbul. She studied computer programming during high school before going on to graduate with honors in electroneurophysiology. She later turned to acting, training at the Sadri Alışık Cultural Center, and landed her first role as Heves in the series Benim Hayatım on Star TV. She subsequently joined the cast of Canım Annem on TV8 as Ela, and her IMDb credits also include the series Yasak Elma (2018).

Her breakout role came as Gonca Hatun, daughter of Yakub I of Germiyan, in the historical drama Kuruluş: Osman on ATV, a character she carried into the sequel series Kuruluş: Orhan (2025). In a July 2024 magazine interview she described theatre as the pinnacle of the acting profession and said she hoped to appear on stage. In April 2026 the Turkish entertainment press reported that she was in a relationship with her young Kuruluş: Orhan co-star Ömer Faruk Aran.
