Britt Lower — Biography

Brittney Leigh Lower is an American actress and screenwriter born on August 2, 1985, in Heyworth, Illinois. After completing a communications degree at Northwestern University in 2008, she trained with the improv and sketch comedy troupe Upright Citizens Brigade, giving her early career a comedic foundation.

She first drew notice playing tech expert Tanya Sitkowsky on the crime drama Unforgettable (2011-2014), then reached wider audiences as Liz Greenberg on the comedy series Man Seeking Woman (2015-2017). In 2022 she joined the main cast of Apple TV+'s science-fiction drama Severance as Helly R., a role that earned her the 2025 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. Around the same time, she appeared in Turkish director Tolga Karaçelik's film Psycho Therapy: The Shallow Tale of a Writer Who Decided to Write about a Serial Killer, alongside Steve Buscemi.

In 2026 she continued her career with a role in the Netflix series I Will Find You, an adaptation of a Harlan Coben novel co-starring Sam Worthington, which drew strong viewership numbers following its release.
