Corrado Guzzanti — Biography

Corrado Guzzanti was born on 17 May 1965 in Rome, the son of journalist Paolo Guzzanti and brother of actress Sabina Guzzanti; he studied at Sapienza University of Rome before becoming one of Italy's leading satirists. Working across television, film and radio, he built a career doing impressions of politicians, journalists and media figures alongside original comic characters drawn from contemporary Italian life. In 2006 he directed the satirical film Fascisti su Marte (Fascists on Mars), which was selected for the Venice Film Festival, and in 2010 he received the Forte dei Marmi political satire award. As an actor he has taken supporting roles in films including The Passion (2010), A Bigger Splash (2015) and La prima pietra (2018), and later appeared as Papa Benedetto XIV in The Legend of the Christmas Witch 2: The Origins (2021) and competed on the Italian edition of the comedy competition LOL: Last One Laughing.
