Efecan Şenolsun — Biography

Efecan Şenolsun was born on 11 September 1992 in İzmir. Drawn to acting from a young age, he travelled to Istanbul as a high-school sophomore, was accepted by a casting agency, but returned to İzmir at his father's request to finish school. He later studied performing arts at Istanbul Bilgi University and won a festival award for the short film Bu Şehir Senindir.

His on-screen career began with the 2013 series Güneşi Beklerken, and that same year he took a guest role in the film Kocan Kadar Konuş. In 2014 he played Cem in Nadide Hayat, then took on the role of guitarist Özgür in Paramparça, a character later written out after being stabbed in the storyline. In 2017 he played Hakan in Hayat Sırları, and in 2018 appeared on ShowTV as Yakup in Çarpışma and as Sercan in Yaşamayanlar.

In 2018 a co-star from a series set, Elit İşcan, accused him of sexual assault; prosecutors sought a sentence of up to 17 years and 4 months in 2019. After a years-long trial, the court acquitted Şenolsun in February 2021, citing a lack of convincing evidence.
