Precious Life (Nadide Hayat) (translated)

Nadide Hayat is a 2015 Turkish comedy-drama film directed by Çağan Irmak, starring Demet Akbağ and Yetkin Dikinciler. Shot at Istanbul University and in Muğla, it opened in Turkish cinemas on December 18, 2015.

After losing her husband of thirty years, Nadide finds herself struggling with an enormous emptiness. She tries to fill it by taking up one new pastime after another, but none of them holds her interest for long. When she begins to question the mistakes and missed chances of her youth, a story she spots in the newspaper gives her life an unexpected turn: she first returns to a university classroom, and then finds herself out on the open sea alongside Yusuf, a mysterious boat captain.

Demet Akbağ plays Nadide, while Yetkin Dikinciler portrays Captain Yusuf. The supporting cast includes Efecan Şenolsun, Irmak Örnek, Sevil Akı, Suzan Kardeş, Ümit Erlim, and Gizem Erdem.
