Emel Tümer — Biography

Emel Tümer was a Turkish film and television actress from Adana whose career fell mainly in the 1980s. She made her debut in the 1981 film Makber and quickly became a familiar face of the Yeşilçam era. Around the same period she appeared in numerous productions including Vahşi Kan, İntikam Benim, Gırgır Ali, Leyla ile Mecnun, Ölüme Son Adım, and Çöl, and later took roles in films such as Sıra Sende Yosma and Dönme Dolap. In 1994 she appeared in both the feature film İhanet Çığlıkları and the television series Alem Buysa, after which she withdrew from acting and did not take on any further screen roles.
