Erol Sander, born Urçun Salihoğlu on November 9, 1968, in Istanbul, is a Turkish-German actor and former model based in Germany. After beginning his career in modeling, he moved into German film and television, becoming widely recognized for starring in the crime series “Sinan Toprak ist der Unbestechliche” and “Mordkommission Istanbul.”
He portrayed Alexander the Great in the 2004 television film “Büyük İskender” and also appeared in productions including “Andersrum,” “Die Alpenklinik,” and “The Way You Die.” Sander has been honored with a German-Turkish friendship award, reflecting his role as a cultural bridge between the two countries he calls home.
