Gülşah Çomoğlu — Biography

Gülşah Çomoğlu was born on May 30, 1986, in Ankara, and trained in theatre at Bilkent University's Conservatory. She began her stage career in various plays, including İki Efendinin Kuşağı, Troyalı Kadınlar, Kafatası, Yeşil Kuş, Hürrem Sultan and Venedik Taciri. She moved into television in 2010 with the series Behzat Ç., but first drew wide attention playing Asuman in Fox TV's daily series Unutma Beni. She went on to appear in Aşkın Bedeli and reached her greatest recognition playing Begüm in Yüksek Sosyete; later in her career, in 2022, she played Bahar in Kasaba Doktoru.

Çomoğlu married actor Gökhan Günal in 2018 and was a cousin of actress İlayda Alişan. After a long battle with cancer, she died in Istanbul on May 29, 2024, at the age of 38; the news, announced by her husband, and his later tributes drew wide public attention, and İlayda Alişan also shared a farewell message for her cousin.
