İlay Erkök — Biography

İlay Erkök was born on 1 October 1993 in Istanbul. She studied at the Theatre Department of the İstanbul University State Conservatory and first appeared on screen in 2013, playing the young Demet in the series Güneşi Beklerken while still a student. She later spent a year training at a conservatoire in England.

She played Damla Başar in the series İnadına Aşk (2015-2016) and appeared in the series Hayatımın Aşkı (2016) and Darısı Başımıza (2018). In 2017 she moved into cinema with the films Seni Gidi Seni, in which she played Elif, and İlk Öpücük.

She reached a wide audience as Yaren Şadoğlu in the ATV series Hercai, which began airing in 2019. She subsequently appeared in the television film Merkez (2022) and the feature film Oyun Bitti (2023); in 2024, the press reported that she had settled in Italy.
