Kemal Doğulu — Biography

Kemal Doğulu was born on October 14, 1979, in Mersin and is the older brother of actor Kadir Doğulu. As a teenager he trained as a hairdresser with a relative before moving to Istanbul, where he began styling hair and doing make-up for fashion magazines.

After photographs of his work appeared in Elle, he built a career as a style consultant for celebrities including Sıla, Kutsi, Demet Akalın, Hande Yener and Gökhan Özen, and also directed music videos. He later turned to music himself, stepping in as a vocalist at a concert and going on to release a single, while also appearing on screen between 2008 and 2015 in the series 1 Yerde, Kemal Doğulu 2, Ters Köşe, 4.Kemal, Aşk Kabul Ederse and Duygusal.

In February 2026 he was briefly detained and questioned as part of a police investigation into drug use among celebrities before being released, and by May 2026 he was back on stage performing a new song.
