Koray Candemir — Biography
Orçun Koray Candemir (born 7 August 1975 in Istanbul) is a Turkish musician, singer-songwriter, composer and record producer. For many years he was the lead singer and guitarist of the rock band Kargo.
At the end of 2008 he and Serkan Çeliköz left Kargo over differences of vision and opinion with the other members, forming a new band named maSKott and releasing its debut album in 2010; part of that work was done in Seattle, in the United States.
He later concentrated on solo material, issuing "Yarım Kalan" in 2017, "Kimileri" in 2021 and, after a long gap, "İhtimaller" in August 2025. His solo album "Kendine Uzak" appeared in April 2026 and was presented on stage at DasDas the following month. On screen he is associated with the 2001 film Cahil Periler.
