Leyla Göksun — Biography

Leyla Göksun is an actress who turned a start in advertising and magazine shoots into a lasting place in television drama. Wide audiences first noticed her as Gönül, the blind girl in Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu, and she gained national recognition as Ela in the medical drama Doktorlar. She later played Fatma Sultan in Bir Zamanlar Osmanlı: Kıyam and appeared in productions such as Şahane Damat and Jet Sosyete.

At fourteen she went to England and spent six years as a boarder at the International Turkish High School; in 2007 she graduated from Yeditepe University. She registered with the Gaye Sökmen Agency and began in front of the camera with magazine shoots and various commercials, and took theatre lessons at Akademi Kenter. Her television path began in 2006 when she joined Doktorlar as an extra, and in the same series she later became the leading character Ela. Her first film was Dabbe 2 in 2009, in which she played Ece.

She appeared in both seasons of Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu and in 2012 played Fatma Sultan in Bir Zamanlar Osmanlı: Kıyam. In the following years she appeared in series such as Deli Saraylı, Kurşun Bilal, Osmanlı'da Derin Devlet, Arka Sokaklar, Çiçek and Kalbim Ege'de Kaldı, and in films such as Kırmızı, Muna and Aşk Olsun.
