Luran Ahmeti — Biography
Luran Ahmeti was an ethnic Albanian actor from North Macedonia, born on 31 July 1974 in Skopje. After training in drama at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, he spent more than two decades performing on stage with the Albanian Theatre in Skopje, becoming one of the leading figures of Albanian-language theatre in the Balkans.
Ahmeti also built a substantial career in Turkish television and film, appearing in series such as "Elveda Rumeli", "Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu" and "Muhteşem Yüzyıl: Kösem", as well as films including "Limonata", "Takip: İstanbul" and "Güzel Günler Göreceğiz".
He died in his native Skopje on 25 March 2021 at the age of 46 after contracting COVID-19, prompting tributes from public figures across both North Macedonia and Turkey.
