Merve Şen — Biography

Merve Şen was born on 11 July 1990 in the Bakırköy district of Istanbul. She graduated from the conservatory's theatre department at Haliç University in 2015 and then took singing lessons. Active in various theatres as an actress and playwright since 2008, she was among the founders of the Santral Kumpanya theatre group in 2013, through which she also began acting and writing for digital media, and she spent about a year performing on the BKM Mutfak stage.

She made her screen debut playing Nahide in the 2019 series Kuzey Yıldızı İlk Aşk, a role she kept until 2021. In 2022 she played both Binnur in the series Senden Daha Güzel and Cevriye in Üç Kız Kardeş; in the 2023 series Taçsız Prenses she took on the role of Zehra, aunt of the lead character Masal.

Also known for her work as a playwright alongside acting, Şen is married to businessman Süreyya Bursa.
