Mustafa Topaloğlu — Biography

Entertainment and gossip shows know Turkish singer Mustafa Topaloğlu as the "Uzaylı Türkücü" ("Alien Folk Singer"). He is widely recognised for his unusual remarks, his talk about extraterrestrials and his exuberant stage manner, and he was still releasing new songs in 2026.

He spent his childhood in Karasu in Sakarya, and in the 1990s he set up Prestij Müzik with his brother, the music producer Hilmi Topaloğlu. He became known with "Oy Oy Emine". His discography includes albums such as Abu Çi Çi, Beyaz Gelin, Bizim Düğün, Makbule, Oflu İle Rizeli, Hedef İnsanlık and Yakarım Alimallah, and singles such as "Gerizekalı Sevgilim", "Bürütüs", "Şampiyon Trabzon" and "Harbi Tutuldum". An admirer of former US president Barack Obama, he released a song for him called "Obama". In May 2012 he took part in the Survivor competition, left it the same month and reached a wider television audience.

Most recently he released the song "Sitem" in March 2026; the same month, when asked during a stage performance to cut his song short, he put down the microphone and left the stage. In June 2026 he said he hoped his new song "Bambam Star" would succeed worldwide. His son Çağlayan Topaloğlu is also a musician.
