Pedro Alonso — Biography

Pedro González Alonso was born on 21 June 1971 in Vigo, Spain; he graduated from the Royal School of Dramatic Art (RESAD) in Madrid in 1992 and both studied and later taught at Teatro de la Danza. He built his early career in Galician-language television with series such as Rías Baixas, Maridos e mulleres, Padre Casares and Gondar, before becoming known nationally for playing Diego Murquía / Adrián Vera Celande in Gran Hotel. In 2017 he found worldwide fame as Andrés "Berlín" de Fonollosa in Money Heist, and in 2018 he was named International Star of the Year by GQ Turkey and co-starred in Diablo Guardián, Amazon Prime Video's first Latin American drama series. He took the lead in the thriller The Silence of the Marsh in 2019 and reprised his Berlin role in the 2023 spin-off series Berlin. Writing under the name Pedro Alonso O'choro, he published the book Libro de Filipo in 2020; he speaks Spanish, Galician, Catalan and English, and is in a relationship with Parisian hypnotherapist and artist Tatiana Djordjevic.
