Reşit Gürzap — Biography
Reşit Gürzap (23 April 1912, Istanbul – 9 July 1990, Istanbul), full name Reşit Arif Gürzap, was a Turkish actor and voice actor. He studied at the Faculty of Maritime Studies of Istanbul Technical University.
He began his film career in the 1940s, appearing in such films as Kızılırmak-Karakoyun (1945), Yanık Kaval (1947) and Çıldıran Kadın (1948). He portrayed Çandarlı Halil Pasha in İstanbul'un Fethi (1951) and Colonel Rıfat Bey in Allaha Ismarladık (1951). Alongside his screen work he was known as one of the leading dubbing artists of Turkish cinema. He was married to Alev Gürzap; their son Can Gürzap also became a well-known stage and film actor.
