Rüveyda Öksüz — Biography

Rüveyda Öksüz was born on 24 May 1994 in İstanbul, the youngest of four children in a family originally from Pazar in Rize province. She began modelling while studying astronomy and space sciences at the Faculty of Science of İstanbul University.

In 2013 she won the Miss Turkey pageant, becoming that year's national beauty queen, and represented the country at Miss World 2013 on the Indonesian island of Bali, where she did not place. After her win she walked in many fashion shows before turning to acting. Her first television role came in 2014 in Ezra, written and directed by Tayfun Güneyer, in which she shared the lead with Yusuf Çim and İsmail Filiz as the title character, a medical student from Gaza. In 2015 she played Nağme Yenilmez in the FOX series Sen Benimsin. She took on the role of Berrin in Cesur Yürek, broadcast on Show TV in 2016-2017, and in 2019 she played the psychologist Yeliz in the series Vurgun.

Besides acting and modelling she has also been involved in directing, and for a time her relationship with the singer Gökhan Keser made her a frequent subject of celebrity news.
