Safiye Soyman — Biography
Safiye Soyman was born in 1961 in Bolu.
Married off at the age of 13 by her father through an arranged marriage, Safiye Soyman remained married for 15 years, during which time she finished middle school and high school.
She later took music lessons from Özer Altın and worked in the Ankara State Classical Music Choir.
With an offer she received from the king of nightclub owners, Fahrettin Aslan, she took the stage at Maksim, after which her rise in her music career began.
In 1980 she released her first album, titled Aşk Olsun Sana; to date she has released 16 albums and is among Turkey's prominent artists.
