Simge Tertemiz — Biography

From beauty and modelling contests, Turkish model Simge Tertemiz moved into presenting and cinema. She won Best Model of Turkey in 2004, and her first film role was Gamze in Çılgın Dersane. She remains in the media spotlight through presenting and runway work.

The first phase was contests. Born in İskenderun, she graduated from Nuri Cıngıllıoğlu High School; in 2002 she received the promising-model award at Best Model of Turkey and in 2004 won the same contest. That year she also placed fourth at Best Model of the World and fifth at Miss Tourism. She studied Labour Economics and Industrial Relations at Anadolu University in Eskişehir. The second phase was screen and cinema: she presented the magazine programme Özel Hat on ATV and in 2009 handled the promotion of an offshore powerboat race. In cinema she appeared in Çılgın Dersane in 2007 and in its sequel Çılgın Dersane Kampta the following year; on television she acted in the series Türk Malı and in Mert ile Gert, and took part in the programme Gecekondu.

In 2011 readers of Boxer magazine voted her the sexiest woman of the year. She married that year and divorced in 2014; she has a son. In 2016 she took part in the TV8 contest İşte Benim Stilim Ünlüler and returned to the runway.
