A Young Emmanuelle

A Young Emmanuelle (original title: Néa) is a 1976 French-West German erotic drama directed by Nelly Kaplan. The film is loosely inspired by a novella by Emmanuelle Arsan.

The story follows a sixteen-year-old girl who begins to discover love and desire, charting her erotic fantasies and her passage into adulthood. The leading role is played by Ann Zacharias, who was twenty at the time of filming. The cast also includes Sami Frey, Micheline Presle, Heinz Bennent, Ingrid Caven and Françoise Brion. Written by Jean Chapot and running about 102 minutes, the film reached audiences across various countries through release dates spread over several years after its 1976 premiere.
