Alphonse

Alphonse is a French television series written and directed by Nicolas Bedos for Amazon Prime Video. Released between October 12 and November 2, 2023, it comprises a single season of six episodes.

The story follows Alphonse, a man in his forties navigating both a professional and a marital crisis. He reconnects with a father he hardly knew and, in doing so, stumbles upon an unexpected new calling. Along the way he crosses paths with a series of women, each more intriguing and eccentric than the last, drawing him into a journey that is at once risky and transgressive yet marked by tenderness.

Jean Dujardin leads the cast, which also includes Charlotte Gainsbourg, Nicole Garcia, Pierre Arditi, Laura Morante, Francine Bergé, Marie-Christine Barrault, Elsa Zylberstein and Lubna Azabal. The production was spearheaded by Alain Goldman through Banijay Entertainment and Montmartre Films.
