Cars 2 (Arabalar 2) (translated)
Arabalar 2 is the Turkish-dubbed theatrical release of Cars 2, the 2011 American computer-animated spy comedy produced by Pixar Animation Studios for Walt Disney Pictures. A sequel to Cars (2006) and running about 107 minutes, it was directed by John Lasseter with Brad Lewis as co-director, from a screenplay by Ben Queen.
The story sends race car Lightning McQueen and tow truck Mater to Japan and Europe for the World Grand Prix, a racing showcase for a new alternative fuel — until Mater is accidentally swept into an international espionage plot that endangers both friends.
The Turkish voice version, whose cast featured Bahtiyar Engin, brought the film to Turkish cinema audiences. Released in the United States on June 24, 2011, Cars 2 drew mixed reviews yet grossed over $559 million worldwide, ranking among the year's top box-office earners, and picked up a Golden Globe nomination for Best Animated Feature. A third installment, Cars 3, followed in 2017.
