Aram (film)

Aram is a 2002 French action-drama film written and directed by Robert Kechichian. Produced by BAC Films, it was released in French theatres on November 27, 2002, and its story, told in both French and Armenian, is set primarily in France.

The film follows Aram, a young French militant of Armenian descent who, between 1993 and 2001, tries to supply arms to fighters in Nagorno-Karabakh. He must then deal with the fallout from the assassination of a Turkish general visiting France. Simon Abkarian stars in the title role, with Lubna Azabal and Mathieu Demy also in the cast. The film made its American debut in 2004 at the Armenian Film Festival in San Francisco.
