Love Doesn't Announce Its Arrival (Aşk Geliyorum Demez) (translated)

Directed by Murat Şeker and released in Turkish cinemas on November 6, 2009, Aşk Geliyorum Demez blends comedy, romance and drama. Set in Istanbul, the film follows the shopkeepers of a traditional inn in Mahmutpaşa whose livelihoods come under threat when a contractor buys the building, intending to demolish it and erect a shopping mall in its place while pressuring the tenants to vacate.

Cornered, the shopkeepers band together and hatch a scheme: Ali must charm the contractor's daughter Gözde so that the inn can be saved. Yet when Ali and Gözde meet at a charity night, they genuinely fall in love, turning the plan into an unexpected romance. Tolgahan Sayışman and Bergüzar Korel lead the cast, supported by Altan Erkekli, Sarp Apak, Onur Buldu and Sera Tokdemir.
